Corporate Quality Assurance Manager | Open Position

Wolf Steel Ltd would like to announce the exciting opportunity of Corporate Quality Assurance Manager.

Position Purpose


As the Corporate Quality Assurance Manager, the incumbent shall develop, implement and maintain a Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001 – 2000 at a corporate level to include all facilities. Reporting to the Corporate General Manager, it is expected that the incumbent will create and execute a corporate quality plan to include cost reduction, supplier development and continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing supervision of the daily operation of the Quality Assurance department
  • Liaising with the engineering, manufacturing and suppliers on new product development
  • Chairing Quality meetings including preparing the communication minutes
  • Planning, organizing and controlling all QA department activities and expenses
  • Identifying root cause(s) of product quality and issue a follow-up on all corrective actions
  • Exercising due diligence toward external and internal product traceability and process audits
  • Planning and executing internal QMS audits in compliance with ISO 9001
  • Ensuring all specification for manufactured as well as pass through products are adhered to
  • Reviewing failed inspection audits with the Manufacturing Coordinators on a timely basis, identifying and resolving weak points
  • Conducting staff performance reviews – identify and plan training
  • Reviewing and authorizing all quality related documents
  • Deciding on matters affecting product quality with the objective to minimize zero field issues
  • Analyzing quality related information all while identifying methods of improvement resolutions
  • Liaising with all members of management at all facilities on matters relating to the management system

 

Qualifications and Requirements


Education

  • Engineering designation, with a quality discipline
  • Degree or Technical diploma in Manufacturing Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in project planning, leadership and communication, motivational and counseling skills, conflict management and budget control


Experience

  • Manufacturing industry or Engineering environment preferred
  • Prior support in a fast paced environment
  • Project Management
  • Three years of implementation experience to include training as Lead Auditor in Process Auditing
  • Demonstrated experience with the items listed in the “Key Responsibilities” section

 

Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 – 2000 Quality Management Systems
  • Through product knowledge to include regulatory requirements
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

 

Skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to function in a fast paced multi-functional environment where priorities change regularly
  • An excellent communicator, can effectively communicate will all levels within the organization
  • Strong organizational and problem solving capabilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Collaborative team player
